$/lb chlorine is the price divided by the pounds of available chlorine in the container, so a 50 lb bucket, a 10% jug and a 12.5% jug all compare fairly. How it's calculated.
Is a 25 lb bucket the right size?
Larger buckets almost always cost less per pound, but trichlor keeps for years if the lid stays on and it's stored dry, so buying ahead is safe. Compare the per-pound price here with the other sizes before deciding, and check how long a bucket lasts your pool with thecost calculator.
